Saturday night had such a perfect evening, of the Astoria kind that is. Slept in late and laid around most of the day. Went out to dinner to introduce Ektor to pancakes for the first time, then Amber came over and we watched Sliding Doors. We decided that a Saturday night was just not complete without exploring local bars so we headed out on a mission of finding a quiet bar to get a quick drink and catch up. First location: a smoke filled Croatian place making us nearly gag, chug our drinks, and thankful we could breathe upon leaving. Next stop: a what we thought looked a like a cute Irish pub but ended up being a gay bar for old men...gross! I really know how to pick 'em. And then: a decent little bar, but I ended up running into a guy a work with (who I seem to run into EVERYWHERE...really creepy) and getting eyed by his over possesive girlfriend...
Decided to visit Uncle George's again where I was introduced to mixing greek wine and coca cola...strange but yet so good. Walked home happy to live in such an awesome neighborhood and have a good friend like Amber. Watched Moulin Rouge till 7am and slept in till 4pm on Sunday...what a bum I am!
