My poor baby Sugar passed away in surgery this morning. Of all the kittens I have fostered, she was my favorite. She had a concave chest, a genetic abnormality that I only found out about when trying to get her spayed before adoption. Luckily, her adopter decided to adopt her anyways under vet advice that hopefully in 6 months she would be able to be spayed under anesthesia without a problem. This morning (six months and many kittens Ive fostered later) her little heart gave out while under going surgery. I cant help but cry as I write this blog because I was so attached to this kitten and just cant imagine why this happened. I also grieve for her owner as this was a very special kitty, one that I know she will have a hard time replacing in her heart.
RIP Sugar my brother will take care of you now

OH NO!!!!!
I loved Sugar! I have fond memories of her romping around all over my chest in middle of the night when I slept over there.... And I loved watching her hiding behind something and pouncing on Orea, AND Luci! That cutie was quite a gutsy little kitten.
Heather, you are a wonderful person.
That kitten was created with the obvious white heart on her chest for a reason. In her short little life she spread love. Yes, it is hard to understand why these things happen--I can only say I'm sorry, Hess.
My condolences to you Heather. I felt really close to Sugar as well thanks to your blog and the conversations we shared concerning her. May she rest in peace for eternity and I know in my heart her life was enriched here on Earth thanks to you!
