Melissa celebrated her "25th" birthday yesterday with the lab crew. Wow, what an amazing group of friends I have. Melissa has been such an influencial and wonderful friend to me, I am really going to miss her when she moves to California in February. She has been my lab partner and mentor, my professor, my confidant, my gossiper, my friend. She is an awesome person, wife, scientist, and friend. If only everybody could be so lucky to have her as a friend like I am. But instead of dwelling on her upcoming departure, we decided to celebrate her birthday in style with Mexican food (not anything like REAL Mexican food but decent) and sour apple margaritas...yum. Happy Birthday Melissa, cant wait to celebrate with you next year as an Irvine student ;)
