"They say its your birthday"!! -The Beatles

That's right, Ive been 24 now for exactly 20 hours and 37 minutes and it feels damn great. Im dedicating this blog to my new year. During this year I have come up with a short list of the goals I hope to achieve by staying positive. I think I will share them with you all.

1. Getting a decent score on Saturday's GRE, I mean I really want a 1600 but would be happy with a 1200 and live with a 1140..but thats as low as I go.
2. Getting into grad school, preferably Columbia or UC Irvine but Scripps would be nice too :)
3. I hinted to it above, but I want to enjoy my life ny not worrying as much, and taking it easy
4. Realize that not all boys are bad and maybe my past has just only found me bad ones, but they still came into my life for a reason. i dont know, trying to be less negative these days.
5. Not meet crappy men. Any of them. Listen, if you dont have your education and shit together dont talk to me. Cause honestly I am crazy enough for the both of us, I dont need your drama too. My next relationship will be real, no games or drama.
6. Explore NY in all of its beauty. I plan on seeing all the shows I want to see, finally going to Ellis Island, going to street fairs, taking a double decker bus, taking a helicopter and island boat ride, etc. I might not be in NY for my 25th year so I need to enjoy it during my 24th.
7. Buy a laptop...
8. Backpack Europe...alone or with my mom but thats it.
9. If I move to CA, buy a Scion (thats a car)
10. Come to terms with my brother's death and let the anger go. This might be the hardest to accomplish this year.
11. Develop a faith in God again...or at least try to believe in an him.
12. Try to get rid of the negative energy, the depression, the sadness, and the pain by coming to terms with it...facing it in all of its ugliness and being able to walk away from it. That is the most important goal for myself.

So, to start off my 24th year and head in the direction i want to...my wonderful girlfriends toasted me to a new year and a new life. I love my girlfriends and I love my life :)

Happy Birthday me!
