I could not have asked for a better way to spend this year's 4th of July than with my mom. We had so much fun. Started off at a street fair in lower Manhattan. It was so much fun. I love NY street fairs...they are so NY. Here's a pic with some kids playing hula-hoop in the street.
We also found some really good vegetarian food at the street fair amist all the gyros, fried chicken, and gross mexican food. I really liked the sign by their tent setup...
Headed to South Street Seaport to see the festivities there. I dont know about you, but the entertainers who can stand really still for long periods of time despite everything going on around them, really scare me! Check these two out:
Ok so this one isnt as good. But her interaction with this little girl was really cute:
Tried to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge but it was closed. Do you know that the original fare for the bridge was 2 cents for a carriage and 1 cent for pedestrians. Ha, now it is even cheaper since its free! My, how times change.
Sat in Stuyvesant (pronounced Styvesant, I know thats confusing) park for awhile. It was awesome to see the fireflies start to come and out, that is until they started to bite me.

The camera died before I could get any fireworks. But lets just say, happy 4th of July!
